Confidence, Character, Courage

From Fear to Courage:

An Eyeshine student who is visually impaired takes the helm on his first ever experience in a boat or on a lake. I can do this!

Mission Statement

Eyeshine is a nonprofit organization that serves students who are blind, visually impaired or disabled by implementing outdoor sports, recreational activities and long-term educational programs that instill confidence, courage and character and provide members with the opportunity for inclusion and service in the community.

Testimonials

“My daughter has taken a positive outlook on her future, relearning how to do everything she loves without the use of her vision. Abbey is able to accomplish many of these things with the assistance and support of Eyeshine, who schedule fun events for her to join in and provide her with the transportation to get there.”  –Tricia Eads

“My family is so happy we found Eyeshine, the staff is dedicated, and truly show they care. Our son, AJ, loves, and looks forward to attending their events. It has provided him with the opportunity to socialize with other kids, and the one place where he is accepted and celebrated for who he is.” – Elizabeth Rhodes

“Our son Zane Stull was afflicted with Lebers Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON) which causes blindness. We are excited that Eyeshine is making physical activities available for teens and adults in order to be more active and supported, but also for the future potential opportunities to participate in the community.” –Cecilia Stull
